Résidences Funéraires Goyer is a family affair. It’s a story of pride, commitment and passion that has spanned three generations. A 100% Quebec establishment with strong ties to the community, our company was founded in 1969 in Saint-Eustache by Roméo Goyer and now has nearly 50 employees. Today, 45 years later, the company still has the same genuinely caring approach: advising and supporting you with respect, trust and caring.
The Goyer family The team
Jonathan Goyer earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Université de Sherbrooke and was certified as a Family Advisor by the Corporation des thanatologues du Québec. Since 2007, he has helped families plan and conduct funerals, taking on certain company management duties. This includes participating in the development of procedures, which led to a BNQ certification in 2012.

Supporting her husband from the very beginning, she fully entered the family business in 1985. She is responsible for the administrative offices, personnel, payroll, prearrangement program and client follow-up.

Since 1979, René Goyer, a graduate of Institute of Thanatology and President of Résidences Funéraires Goyer, has been at the helm of this family business founded in 1969 by his father, Roméo Goyer. Supported by his wife and his three children, he oversees the operations and participates in the company’s administration and management.

Benoit Goyer, a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of HEC Montréal, is a member of the Board and actively participates in the development of the family business.

Geneviève Goyer earned her Diploma of Vocational Studies in Thanatology from Collège Rosemont and her Bachelor of Management from HEC Montréal. She joined the family business in 2002. Today, she serves as a Family Advisor and is responsible for operations management and accounting.
